Who We Are...
Our Mission
Our mission is to teach the area youth to become competitive volleyball players with a solid foundation for success in volleyball and in life. We will build a feeder program with a strong foundation of skills for the area high schools, colleges, and beach circuit.
Led by founder and head coach Venesa Walker, the VB4Y organization is an incredible opportunity for youth to improve their mental and physical fitness as well as develop communication and leadership skills.
Our Philosophy
When you look up the word “Philosophy” in a dictionary, it talks about the love or pursuit of wisdom, or a system of principles for guidance.
VB4Y is always seeking players and coaches who love volleyball and want to pursue the skills to constantly improve their volleyball and life goals. As coaches we are devoted to the game, team, and individuals that seek our guidance. We are always growing and adapting to the needs of our organization while maintaining our family first approach and discovering new ways to teach/coach the skills necessary to play the game at a competitive level.
All programs work better with a strong foundation of principles and rules. VB4Y strives to be the leader in developing an affordable, successful and effective feeder program for our local schools, clubs, and colleges by giving kids a strong and steady foundation. We give players guidance in developing their individual and team needs. We utilize adults with solid ethical backgrounds that are teachers at heart; experience players, or college players with strong academic backgrounds. As coaches that are willing to be mentors as well as coaches to our players. This way the players can have the tools necessary to meet the real challenges of their greatest level of competence.
The Apex for us as an organization and especially myself as a mother, leader and coach, is whether a player is with us for 6 months or years, they will leave knowing the skills needed to develop, and maintain a successful life, whether it be in sports or life in general.
